Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of cats?
We are always happy to speak to feline-friendly vets and nurses who might be interested in joining The Cat Doctor because as a mobile practice with flexible borders, we may be willing to consider expanding our team if the right person comes along. Considerable experience is ideal but your ability to calmly, kindly and confidently handle cats is more important. As a home visit practice, our consultations take place on the floors of clients’ homes and we have a mobile operating theatre in an effort to keep the whole experience as stress-free for both the cat and the client as possible.
Due to the mobile nature of our practice, all of our team members work part-time. The hours and days required are often flexible, and can usually be kept within school hours (ie 10am-3pm) if needed. For those looking for more hours, we are happy for you to take on a part time position at another clinic or locum at other practices on your days off. Our hospitalisation facilities are within our vet’s home and we work with several local emergency clinics so there are rarely OOH or in-patient duties required. A driving license is essential as our practice area includes most of Surrey within the M25, although most days will start and finish at our office in Coulsdon.
Pay can be tailored to suit the right person and would include RCVS and VDS fees. We are very happy to cover most feline-specific CPD activities as we feel this benefits the whole practice. We strongly believe that both vets and nurses are exceptionally qualified and talented individuals who should be allowed to practice their profession to the fullest. All team members are highly valued and we’re constantly looking for ways to improve our service so all thoughts and ideas are welcome.
